Apple spent the first part of the holiday weekend firing back at Spotify.

Last week Spotify General Counsel Horatio Gutierrez sent a letter to

Apple General Counsel Bruce Sewell accusing the Cupertino company of

anti-competitive conduct aimed at Spotify.

Word is that Spotify submitted an update for its iOS app to Apple that was rejected for violating business model rules.

This led Gutierrez to write in his letter that his company cannot stand by as Apple

uses the App Store approval process as a weapon to harm competitors. Had the

letter been sent from one lawyer to another we might never have known. However, Spotify is also said

Buzzfeed posted a copy and sent the internet a buzzing
