The part that stinks about being a one-person operation is having nobody to chat with about what you do.

If I worked in an office or with people on MacO-S-KAN,

I'd just be talking about the stories and such throughout the day.

Better chance that somebody would say, I think you're wrong about that before I go out and it turns out,

say something wrong about something.

I've been pretty messed up on whether Windows will run on a Mac powered by Apple Silicon and what it all means for virtualization.

It looks like and let me stress that, if I understand it, it seems that there

won't be boot camp. As it stands right now, there are no plans to license Windows

for Arm-based Macs.

Microsoft makes that available to OEMs and said last week that it has nothing new to

announce on that front.

Now in an interview last week, Apple's top software guy, Craig Federigi,

said we're not direct booting an alternate operating system.

In my head, that meant no virtualization either. Not sure where I got

that idea since the rest of the sentence from Federigi was purely virtualization is the route. On top of that it was pointed out to me on

Twitter hat tip to Wayne Dixon that Federigi indicated in the keynote that parallels will have a version for

arm-based max. The limitation, according to Wayne's Twitter message, is that

the operating system will have to be an arm-based version.

That'll still mean no windows on max running Apple Silicon

though that could change.

All of which is to say though that could change.
