San Francisco's Pride Parade was this past weekend, and for the first time ever, Apple was in attendance,

officially.

While Apple has a long history of supporting the rights of the LGBT community both among its own employees

and at large.

Apple Insider says the company had not sponsored an officially sanctioned group marching

in the San Francisco parade until this past weekend.

Apple CEO Tim Cook was on hand.

He posted a pick of marchers holding the Apple banner,

along with the message,

Congrats to 5,000 Apple employees slash families who attended

today's pride parade.

Inclusion inspires innovation. He also posed for pictures with a number of Apple participants.

T-shirts were given the Apple associated participants, not the old Rainbow logo, as some, i.e. me, had suggested, but something sort of similar. The

apple logo was outlined in a thin band of rainbow colors on the front and

center of the shirt right above the word
