It seriously looks like the seven-year-old smartphone patent fight between Apple and Samsung may actually finally really be over.

A number of outlets including N-Gadgett say a settlement was filed Wednesday

with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

At one point, Samsung was on the hook for over a billion dollars in the case.

That amount has bounced up and down a few times, landing most recently at a little over half a billion.

So how much will Sammy finally have to pay?

Oh, sorry, you're not cleared for that information.

Terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.

As one seemingly interminable fight hits its unanticipated end,

another inches ahead.

Law 360 says Apple and Qualcomm concluded arguments on Tuesday in their suit

before the US International Trade Commission.

Compared to the Samsung fight, the Qualcomm case is a spring chicken.
