keynote. It was no longer than usual just under two hours I think, But there were no pauses for applause. Well there were

demos there were fewer of them than usual and moving into and out of demos

didn't take as long as it usually does.

While moving from topic to topic and speaker to speaker was handled in dynamic ways,

it was also handled quickly.

All of which is to say it felt like there was a lot more jammed into Mondays one hour and 49 minutes than usual

And I am not going to cover all of it today

The plan for the week will do the move from X 86 to

arm today. Tomorrow we'll focus on iOS and iPad OS. Thursday we'll do Mac Big Sur. Then Friday will hit Watch OS, TV OS and Home Stuff will also hit

other Apple stories throughout the week as they hit. That stated we will begin where Apple ended

with the announcement of the move to arm. As had been expected, Apple announced its intention to move from the Intel processors that have powered the Mac since 2006 to arm-based processors, proper name, Apple Silicon.

Apple's press release makes it sound as if we shouldn't miss a beat.

Quoting that, with everything built into X-code 12, such as native compilers, editors, and debugging tools, most developers will be able to get their

apps running in a matter of days.

Using Universal II application binaries, developers will be able to easily create a single app that

taps into the native power and performance of the new max with Apple Silicon while still supporting
