Cowan and Company analyst Timothy Arcury has upped his price target for Apple's shares.

Three guesses why and the first two don't count.

Yes, of course, it is the iPhone six. The Mac observer

had our Curie issuing a note to investors on Tuesday wherein he said he expects iPhone sales

to stay strong for the rest of this year.

Then when the anticipated iPhone 6 hits with its anticipated larger screen,

it'll be like a Jem Hadar on white or pop-eye on a can of spinach or whatever analogy you want to use to represent strong

how strong?

Quoting the Mac observer Mr Mr. Arcuri expects Apple will be able to build and sell the iPhone 6 in big numbers this year.

In a note to investors he said his checks indicate Apple could build 100 million

smartphones before the end of this year. Sounds like a lot, though he thinks there's

reason to expect such numbers.

To his way of thinking a lot of existing iPhone customers never upgraded to the iPhone 5,

let alone the iPhone 5S.

While LTE and the slightly larger screen of the 5 and the 5S were not enough

for those customers initially, Arcuri thinks LTE two years later, plus a significantly larger screen, should generate a lot of upgrades.
