Apple's going to charge $100 extra for its next premium iPhone and you're going to be happy to pay it.

That's the supposition in a recent note to clients from Raymond James analyst Tavis McCort.

Market Watch had Mravis McCourt.

Market Watch had Mr. McCourt issuing the note late last week.

In it he said Apple will likely charge a $100 premium for the 5.5 inch version

that media reports have suggested will be available a few months

after the 4.7 inch version.

McCourt went on to say our June Consumer Survey points to continued growth in the willingness of iPhone users to pay $100 more

for a bigger screened iPhone, with now a full one-third of survey respondents willing to pay

a $100 premium.

And adding to that, McCourt's note said, data seems to suggest meaningful demand for

a larger screen, which should logically mean the iPhone 6 cycle will be strong for upgrade sales, which combined

with modest contribution from wearables should cause a modest acceleration in revenue

growth in fiscal 2015. The thing that calls all of that into suspicion though is

the staggered release rumor. Samsung comes out with a new phone every few months

not Apple selling people a premium phone in September

then releasing a new premium er phone a few months later could really end up

hacking off the people who hop on the first one.
