So here's what happened.

Last Thursday night we get a call urging us to come to the assistant living facility where my father-in-law lived.

The hospice nurse who arrived at 140 Friday morning said that she figured he had hours left. By Sunday they were giving

him days and yesterday they said weeks. At this rate by the end of the month they'll be

giving him a decade.

I say that in jest but he's really not getting better nor is he expected to do so.

We've said our last goodbye more times than I can remember in the past seven days, which is, you know, kind of draining.

And we haven't done it for the last time.

There are almost definitely more missing days ahead for this show.

To everyone who emailed and sent messages on Twitter and found other ways to send well wishes, I do thank you. It really did mean a lot.
