Apple Revs, WDC excitement machine, wither the beats by Apple announcement and weirdness in the nest.

start the world knows if i was a burst of w w d c interest and enthusiasm on Wednesday

for starters the world knows officially when it'll hear something from the Moskoni Center stage.

Computer World says the opening presentation is set to kick off at 10 a.m. Pacific 1 p.m. Eastern on

Monday the 2nd of June. Long-time Apple followers could have guessed that that

would be the case but one doesn't know until one knows. Two hours have been

scheduled for the presentation which is expected by just about everyone to include a sneak peek at the next version of iOS,

presumably iOS 8, as well as the next version of OS 10 expected by most to be called OS 10.10.

Apparently these don't go to 11.

Based solely on past history, Computer World expects Apple CEO Tim Cook to play a part in the

proceedings, along with other Apple execs.

The site also expects Cook and crew to announce a release date or at the very least a release time frame for the next version of iOS and the next version of OS 10.

And finally, Computer World does expect some new hardware announcement.

It may not be as flashy as the iPhone announcements of old, but as the peace puts it,

Apple has gotten into the habit of introducing new hardware, often Mac

Refreshes at W.W. D.C. There's no reason to believe it will not continue the practice.
