News of a survey out of China that's sure to make some worry.

9 to 5 max as the Reputation Institute has released its China Rep Track rankings,

breaking down brand reputation in China.

Why would this worry anyone?

Because Apple doesn't make the top 10.

30,000 Chinese consumers surveyed rating corporations based on trust, esteem, admiration, and good feeling according to the piece.

From 9 to 5 Mac, according to the rankings, Apple is the 12th most reputable company in China.

That puts it behind several other technology companies including Intel at first,

Huawei at second, Google at fourth, Nokia at 8th, and Microsoft at 11th.

You heard that right. Top of the list for reputation in China is Intel.

Yes, the same Intel responsible for Specter and Meltdown, the same Intel whose CEO sold as many shares

of the company as he could and still be CEO, before the world learned of Specter and Meltdown.

Then again, Intel told some Chinese firms about the flaws before it told the US government, so who knows?

Maybe that boosted Intel's rap in the Middle Kingdom.
