Before yesterday, I didn't know who Leonid Breschidsky was. Today I applaud him.

He's apparently been writing for Bloomberg for a while and beating up on Apple in the process.

But the beatings he was giving seemed to have been based on the bottom line.

For the record, there's still stuff about Apple's bottom line that Breschitzky could keep piling on Apple 4, were he so inclined.

Apple might still be too reliant on iPhone revenue.

Apple's not spending enough on innovation.

Gross margins slipped a tiny bit last quarter, these are things

Bresinski says he could beat up on Apple for were he so inclined. But he is

no longer so inclined.

Here are three paragraphs and one line from Breschidsky's opinion piece in Bloomberg on Thursday.

I am no longer knocking apple for any of this.

In fact, I'm sorry I ever did. Why the change of

heart? Because this is a time when Amazon is pushing innovations that don't solve

any real-world problems but may create some.

increase in convenience or complex and expensive cashierless stores that won't deliver much of an improvement to our shopping
