Apple amazed financial analysts with its second quarter fiscal year 2015 numbers on Monday

and the reactions of many of them reflected that amazement.

Of the 24 notes highlighted by Fortune a day later, 14 included 12 months price targets raised by some amount.

Some analysts stayed decidedly positive while leaving their price targets unchanged, and finally some arrived on the call

doubtful and decided to stay there though their numbers appear small.

Ananda Barua of Breen which sounds like a character from Game of Thrones but is in fact a financial analyst raised the firm's price target from $160 to $170.

Strong iPhone sales expectations through 2017 led to that rise.

The firms got a buy rating on the shares.

Turned on by gross margin guidance, Keith Bachman of BMO raised his firm's Apple target from 135 to 155.

He's got an outperform rating on the shares.
