stories of record-breaking performance on Apple Music have almost gotten boring.

They're happening with incredible regularity.

If you stop to think about it, though, it makes sense.

Apple music is growing.

If something made a splash last year, it's natural that music in the same genre or a similar genre

would make bigger splashes this year, assuming continued growth.

It happened again over the weekend.

Quoting a piece from Mac Rumors, Apple Music has been the focus of numerous record-breaking reports in recent weeks

and the latest comes from rapper Jay Cole after he broke the services record for

the most album streams in the first 24 hours in the US. In total subscriber stream Jay Cole's fifth album

K-O-D 64.5 million times on Friday the 20th of April

surpassing Drake's views the previous record holder by almost 1 million

streams. The piece also has Apple saying that 7 of the top 10 most streamed songs in a 24 hour period on Apple music are all from

KOD which makes sense if the album was most streamed but whatever. The piece also

points to the success of Cardi B's album earlier this month.

That broke Apple Music's record for most first week streams by a female artist, according to Mac rumors,

surpassing 100 million streams.
