Tim Cook's angry words for Facebook seem to have morphed into actions from Apple.

The Mac Observer says the disappearance of Facebook Contact Sink from Mac OS is not a bug.

It's a feature.

A Reddit user found the hole where Contact Sink used to be and was told by Apple that it was not only removed from the Mac on purpose,

it's also been pulled from iOS 11. The question now, is this move symbolic or a sign of things to come?

As the piece points out, if you use Messenger and allow it to upload your contacts, they will still

be synced to the service.

Additionally, one can still add Facebook to the Mac through system preferences, then

internet accounts, but system-level integration for Facebook and Twitter are both gone

from iOS, leaving TMO to wonder whether the social network's days in the's internet accounts pain are numbered.

An interesting case of timing being everything is about to present itself.
