Pegotron wins with iPhone 5C. Wall Street reads the Wall Street Journal and a

vat of questions.

did you catch the apple Insider piece this past weekend attempting to

deflate the idea that the iPhone 5c has been a failure? Parts of it were well

reasoned. Other parts sounded almost maniacal.

The assertion in the piece though is that the iPhone 5c outsold every Android flagship

on the market during the holiday quarter.

That's the assertion.

It's an interesting piece, though a little short on hard numbers to make it definitive.

For numbers, we had to wait a day.

Pegatron hit with its fourth quarter 2013 earnings on Monday,

and things seemed to have gone very well for them.

A separate apple and cider piece had the contract manufacturer reporting a 22% rise in earnings for the quarter.

The company did not say that that rise was tied to Apple specifically, choosing instead to say that

it was driven by mobile devices.

And yet Pegatron is Apple's largest iPhone 5C supplier, and it also makes the iPad mini.
