KGI securities analyst Ming Guo is predicting bad things for Samsung's next

flagship phone. That's largely because of all the good

things he's predicting for Apple's next flagship phone. 9-5 Mac had Young MC issuing a note

over the weekend pointing out a few week points in Sammy's future.

Quoting the note, we project Galaxy S7 shipments of 40 to 45 million units in fiscal year 2017 implying slower momentum compared

to Galaxy S7 and 2016 around 52 million units shipped attributable to to, one, a one-month difference in

comparable sales period, two, Galaxy S7 was Samsung's main promotional

flagship model in the fourth quarter of 2016 after termination of

Galaxy Note 7 due to the battery explosion issue, hence the higher sales base.

And three, as Galaxy S8 lacks sufficiently attractive selling points except for

full-screen design the O-Ed iPhone could well be a bigger draw for
