Barry Crimmins died yesterday.

If you knew his work, you probably knew him for his activism and his political comedy.

He was not as well known as a lot of the comedians who idolized him, Bob Goldwait and Dana Gould among them.

But he made such a dent in the Boston comedy scene in the 80s and 90s, and that made a dent

in the whole of the comedy world. He was an angry man and he had reason but he

was a comedian and not everything was anger and activism. I saw him in a club one time. He was hilarious. But I never saw him do my favorite joke of his. A friend of mine told me about it.

Barry Cremens comes to stage holding a glass.

Grabbing the mic, he accidentally spills a bit from the glass on his shirt.

He looks down and says,

Oh man, I spilled soda water on my shirt.

Apple's not just making more money selling fewer things when it comes to smartphones

Apple is making most of it. Investors Business Daily has Kennichordinuity

analyst T Michael Walkley pointing out to clients that Apple took in a whopping 87% of

worldwide smartphone profits in the December quarter while only selling 18% of

the smartphones purchased. That 87% of profits taken was up from 72% in the September

quarter. Wockley doesn't see this trend changing drastically. He thinks the popularity of iPhone 10 combined with its high price and improving manufacturing efficiencies should help Apple keep making that do Ray Me.
