Apple held its annual shareholders meeting yesterday and right at the top

that leaves me with a question.

Is the important stuff at an Apple shareholders meeting

the issues upon which they voted or the things they talked about after that.

The votes actually help to govern the company, so that's kind of big.

But the talk tends to color what people think of Apple for at least five to seven hours, so that's pretty big too.

Well, let's start with the vote, since they're less nuanced.

Apple Insider says the eyes and nays, when is expected, expected all of the board members Arthur Levinson

William Campbell Tim Cook Mickey Drexler Al Gore Andrea Young and Ronald Sugar

were reelected. Ernst and Young will continue to serve as Apple's outside accounting firm, and the piece says,

a proposal supported by Apple executives granting an advisory say on pay was also approved.

As for the nays, Apple Insider says two outside proposals, one that would have required

Apple execs to keep 33% of their company's shares until they retire, and another that would have created a board

committee on human rights were shot down by shareholders. Apple was against both of those proposals,
