boy was there a ridiculously small amount of news on Monday. It's a holiday, right? Like in the late afternoon

there were four stories, only three of which I felt good about bringing to you.

Then my Twitter feed went nuts for about 20 seconds when it came out that Apple had released

updates for iOS Mac OS, watch OS, and TV OS.

And yes, I got the update of go-go music queued up, then read that every one of those

updates was about one thing fixing the issue I told you about last week involving

a single Indian language character that could crash devices

from inside certain messaging applications.

As a reminder, the Mac Observer said last week the specific character crashes the springboard and once your iPhone is recovered from that,

the messaging app where it was received crashes every time it's tapped.

Affected apps include messages, Facebook Messenger, Gmail, Outlook, and WhatsApp.

The piece went on to cite a report from The Verge that said Skype and telegram didn't

seem to be affected by the bug and now nothing else will be provided

you hit your updates.
