seems both sudden and a long time coming.

CNBC says Apple is targeting April to launch its new video service.

And you see what I mean, right?

We've been talking about Apple's video plans for I can't remember how long.

Now word hits that the thing could be launching in as little as two months and I think they can't possibly

pull that off so quickly.

C-Nonymous people said to know something about something.

The N-B-C says the service will include free original content for device owners that will also offer subscriptions to services such as

Stars, CBS, Showtime, which is owned by CBS, and services under the Viacom umbrella.

Neither Netflix nor Hulu are expected in the mix,

while HBO may join at some point,

though it's not expected at launch.

Spokespeople at Apple, CBS, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Stars, and Viacom,

all declined to comment for the CNBC piece.
