Apple appears to have made yet another medical hire.

Electronista says the Cupertino company has brought Michael O'Reilly into the fold.

O'Reilly is the former chief medical officer and former executive VP of medical affairs

for a company called Massimo, which makes patient monitoring systems.

O'Reilly likely already has some familiarity with iOS devices.

According to Electroneista, one of Massimo's hottest products is the ISPS-P-O-2 pulse oximeter.

That device, the piece explains, connects to an iPhone and reads pulse and oxygen

saturation data from a person's finger, processing it through a dedicated app.

The report says O'Reilly was likely hired to work on Apple's Iwatch program.

Whether it'll actually be a watch is uncertain.
