everything was working fine. Let's check in the day. Just like it did to Facebook, Apple has suspended Google

employee's ability to run internal apps, so said a headline Thursday afternoon from Business Insider.

You may remember the Facebook stories, the ones that had Apple killing Facebook's developer

certificate after the social network was found to be violating Apple's rules using Apple's enterprise developer

program to sidestep the App Store and its pesky rules and siloed data-cipening apps. Well Well Google was doing the same thing and

Google met the same fate at Apple's hand. Though the search giant apologized

quickly and killed the offending app quickly.

None of that was quick enough or good enough.

On Thursday said the Business Insider piece,

Apple revoked Google's ability to run internal iOS apps, leaving Google employees unable to access tools necessary to do their jobs, according to a report in The Verge.

The move was meant as a punishment for Google's use of a data collecting app in violation

of Apple's rules and came one day after Apple imposed similar consequences for employees at

Facebook. It feels weird to call it punishment

but I'm not sure what word would be better. As with Facebook on Wednesday a

number of internal apps simply stopped working for Google employees on Thursday.
