Welcome to the first of what will be a few Macworld editions of MacOS. Can, though they'll happen in no particular order.

It's Monday January 30, 2012, by the way, I'm Can Ray, and this, as I say, is the first way uncanny So much of what Macworld is for me is touching base with people I've met in years past and seeing

how things are going for them. Sometimes that's developers, sometimes that's podcasters, sometimes

that's hardware people. It's always fun to hang with them and track

their stories as they've gone now today we're going to start on the developer's

side with more than a bit of security thrown in as Secur Mac has been a guest of this

show a few times.

I always enjoy checking him with them.

It's been kind of an interesting year for them as you'll hear

Nicholas Rabba is the CEO of Secure Mac Nicholas Patrick is the lead

developer and I caught up with them at their booth. So you guys are actually here this year with a new product.

Tell everybody what you've got on the floor.

Our new program that we just released here at Macworld is Privacy Scan.

And it is a program to scan your Mac for any privacy threats present on the system.

Cookies, browsing history, flash cookies, recent searches, anything that could identify,

potentially private information for where you've been on the web or what you've been doing in your computer.

It will scan for those and erase them from your system securely by shredding them, which overwrites the file multiple times,

so it can't be recovered by other software, so other people can't see what.

Well, I was going to ask about that.

I know this was something that years ago when I was talking to Nicholas.

This was, I mean, it's sort of like, you go into a security bit of software, you go into a security suite,
