So I have a confession to make. I was only sort of interested heading into this afternoon's earnings call from Apple.

With 14 years plus behind me, I've listened in on at least 56 of these things.

When Apple was up and coming, the calls were really fascinating.

Now, between being one of the biggest companies on the planet and their unwillingness to divulge certain numbers,

well I'm not saying the calls have gotten boring, but they're not as scintillating as they used to be. Then I saw a post on

Twitter that gave me pause. A programmer by the name of Matt Palmer posted,

The most important story in the world right now is the pandemic spread of Wuhan

coronavirus. Not only are lives at risk, but the global supply chain that

relies on Chinese manufacturing has ground to a halt over the last few weeks.
