Remember when Apple amazed and astounded with sales of I-things, quarter after quarter,

they look set to have done it again last quarter according to at least a couple of analysts.

Apple Insider had Can Accord's annuity analyst team Michael Walkley issuing a note to clients on Tuesday, wherein he said he thinks Apple sold over 80 million

iOS devices for the fourth quarter of calendar year 2013, citing secret retail surveys about which he could tell you, but then he'd have to

kill you.

Walkley said he's expecting sales of iPhones to have landed in the 54 million units range, an increase of 13% over the holiday

quarter of 2012.

Meanwhile he expects sales of iPads to land at about 24.8 million units, up 8% from the same quarter a year earlier.

Now that's only 78.8 million iOS devices, though the piece points out that he's not counting iPod touches, which do run iOS, and

which historically have accounted for more than half of all iPod sales in any given quarter.

While Apple is incredibly unlikely to say how many iPhone 5c is it sold

versus how many iPhone 5s's?

Walkely doesn't mind trying. He figures Apple's premium phone

sold a rate of 2 to 1 versus Apple's unapologetically plastic phone last

last quarter, putting the average selling price per handset near $620.
