A tale of two iPhones in In the Dekenzian sense, the two iPhones in question are iPhone

10 and iPhone 10. Mac Rumors runs a story of stellar performance, while Business Insider tells of a tardy phone

that gave up major ground to Samsung. Both are true, though Business Insider's tales a teeny bit click-baty. We'll get to that in a moment.

Mac Rumors does tell a tale of Lost Ground as well, though only kind of sort of. They've got market tracker Cantar World Panel Comtext

saying that iOS dropped 3.8 percentage points in the US for the three months ending last November.

All of that and then some seems to have gone to Android, which saw a rise of four percentage points

in the States.

As of last November, the U.S. market share for iOS stood at 39.8 percent with

Android coming in at 59.4. Bad as that sounds, it's likely not hurting Apple at all.

Cantar noted that in the US, the iPhone 10 was outsold by the iPhone 8 and 8 plus in November coming in third and helping Apple capture

the three top spots for the best-selling smartphone models that month. The

researchers said that Apple easily beat Samsung's Galaxy S8, which landed at sixth place.
