A huge year for the App Store, new moves for Apple and China,

and the Cupertino Company would seriously like to break up with Bromwich.

Another sign of a truly huge holiday season for I-things.

Apple issued a press release Tuesday marking a couple of significant milestones for the App Store.

According to the company, Apple made over $10 billion in sales through the App Store in 2013.

Perhaps more amazingly, over 1 billion of that over 10 billion was made in the month of December alone.

According to the press release, App Store customers downloaded almost 3 billion apps in December,

making it the most successful month in App Store history.

The company also says it has paid out over 15 billion dollars to App Store

developers over the life of the store.

Quoted in the press release, Apple Senior VP of Internet Software and Services Eddie the Stuff

Kew who said, we'd like to thank our customers for making 2013 the best year ever for the

App Store. The lineup of apps for the holiday season was

astonishing and we look forward to seeing what developers create in 2014.

Apple says the App Store is home to over 1 million apps, over 500,000 of which are native iPad apps.

It's also available to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users in 155 countries around the world, according to Apple.
