Let's try to draw a bead on the moving target that is Apple's

battery replacement plan, shall we?

Last week the company said the battery replacement program would kick off later this month.

Then over the weekend, the company went ahead and started replacing batteries at the new rate of $29 US.

Now, the Mac Observer says there doesn't have to be anything wrong with your

battery for Apple to go ahead and replace it.

According to TMO, if you have an iPhone 6 for Apple to go ahead and replace it.

According to TMO, if you have an iPhone 6 or newer and are willing to pay the $29 fee,

Apple will replace the battery, no questions asked. Either that's going to be costly. the point. Then again, the costs associated with the bad press and lawsuits could be far greater in the long term.

The back and forth over iPhone 10 continues.
