It's Wednesday, June 3rd. I just got back from Vegas around 1 o'clock this morning, but wanted to jump right

back in because in the weeks, we were covering the Tanner Horner penalty phase. There were some

interesting cases that made the news. Today, I'm going to do a very rough backstory on the

Lynette Hooker case. She is from Michigan. And according to her husband, Brian, she fell overboard their boat and has not been seen since.

Now, fair warning, this is not the deep, deep dive I normally do.

This is just me since this morning trying to get a good grip on the case.

So look for a couple of more episodes where we will fine tune all the facts we know so far.

I also plan to do a

CrimeCon recap video with pictures and videos and everything else, so I hope to get that out by

the end of the week. CrimeCon, so amazing to meet all the alibiers and see other amazing content

creators in person. It's just like a true crime family reunion with a lot of

like-minded people who have a passion for justice, and I look forward to it every year. Let's jump

into this case because it seems to be heating up now, and I've wanted to do a backstory on this

for a while, but just have been slammed busy.

55-year-old Lynette Hooker from Michigan was living on a sailboat with her husband.

She's also a content creator.

They share their journey on social media, and she went missing on April 4th.

She was last seen near Pat's Bay while returning to their sailboat after being on shore for a while.

As of now, her body has not been found.

A U.S. official told CBS News the case is now being investigated as a possible foreign murder of a U.S. national.
