It has thrown up two, or rather British politics, has thrown up two stories this morning that I think are worthy of our interests.

At Nicola Sturgeon, a politician who you don't have to like or indeed vote for, but to describe somebody who is first minister of Scotland as an attention seeker who should be ignored while

seeking to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom strikes me as, well, at the very least, ill-advised, and at the

very worst, downright dangerous.

So I'm standby for that.

We'll get onto it in the second hour of the programme.

But in the first hour of the programme today, I knew this day would come.

I also knew it was unlikely to happen on my programme.

But again, as with Johnson's departure from Downing Street, there's no celebration, there's no smug self-congratulation or

would have been to deny observable reality.
