Here we go. It's time for another edition of Fighting for the Faith, Thursday, January 5th, 2012. Oh, Thank you for tuning in your listening to Fighting for the Faith. My name is

Chris Rosebro and I am your servant in Jesus Christ and this is the program

that dishes up a daily dose of biblical discernment, the goal of which, help you think

biblically, help you to think critically, and help you compare what people are

saying in the name of God to the word of God. There is no shortage of crazy

bizarre needless things being said about God and well the reason

why it all happens really boils down to the fact that the human heart by nature is an idle factory.

Doesn't want to believe God, doesn't want to submit to his law, doesn't want to submit to his truth,

and is at war with God, and wants to make up its own God, its own idols and things like that.

So as a result of that problem, the church always needs to remain vigilant because this side of Christ's return, this side of the

resurrection, the church is the church militant. We are not a church at rest, we are

the church militant and we have the church has real enemies.

Sin, death, the devil, our own sinful nature.

These are the things that war against Christ, war against the body of Christ, war against the church, the

bride of Christ. And so as a result of that we must ever be vigilant and that doesn't mean just sitting on the wall going oh look

there's the enemy right there see I spotted it oh good good on me yeah I am so clever.
