Now, one of the things that I've said before in previous podcasts is that the achievement system has really made these

world events shine and a lot of people do them who never would have done them before.

And I think that the Lunar Festival is an excellent example of this.

Kind of on the face of it, it's not a super exciting event.

There isn't a lot of variety of what's going on but they have done a really

good job of incorporating the achievement system into it and therefore I'm going to

kind of go over the Lunar Festival and not so much the lore, but particularly with a focus on achievements.

The Lunar Festival is essentially the Chinese New Year.

It always comes around corresponding with the Chinese New Year. I believe it's the year of the ox this year, although you'd think that with the Torin in the game they'd make a big deal out of that but they didn't.

So what it is is it's a festival for honoring your ancestors.

So most of the quests involve visiting various ancestors who are either Torin or Night Elf, but both factions can

approach them. They're friendly to all factions, although not everything around them is friendly to all factions.

And that is where the challenge comes in.

There are basically three different types of achievements that are associated with the Lunar Festival.
