At the end of the end of the last podcast, I mentioned doing an episode on Nervous Man in a $4 room and how it was one I was actually quite fond of.

Sadly, I will not be catching up with Jackie Rhodes as it has come time for me to hang up my microphone

and headphones and exit the Twilight Zone podcast. I was first contacted about taking over the show

in January of this year and as a huge fan of the show and the Twilight Zone itself I was of course

happy to take on the role of host. I had been the host of my own movie podcast and thought this would

be a fun project to undertake alongside my other writing gigs. Plus, Tom had already laid down some

amazing groundwork in terms of how the show is formatted and it was one I was a big fan of. At the time,

I was working in a full-time job and was able to set aside time in the evenings to write, record and edit the podcasts. But since then, as most of you know, I have gone freelance as a

writer and I've started to find it difficult to make time for the Twilight Zone podcast. The

huge gap between episodes is a good indication of how little time I've had to dedicate to this project.

So, with regret, I emailed

Tom and said it was time for me to hand over the reins. Now this was something that was

inevitably going to happen come the new year as I'm currently working on my first book

and I've been speaking to a few publishers so once a deal is in place that will have to

become my new priority.

And given that it's quite an involved book, it's going to take up a lot of my time.

I am sad, of course. I've been thinking about throwing in the towel prior to this,

but every time I thought of giving up, I'd think of an episode I wanted to talk about and it would

spur me on again.
