| 0:00.0 | Welcome to part two with Dr. Daniel Bellnamp, Luke chapter 22 and John 18. |
| 0:07.0 | In Luke, so he doesn't divide him up the same way as Matthew does into the different discrete groups, |
| 0:13.0 | but notice that the first instruction that he gives in this element of the tonic process is verse 40. |
| 0:18.0 | When we get to the place, the says to it, it turns out it says, pray that you enter not into temptation. |
| 0:23.0 | Now, one way you'd say that is, you can say hope that sometimes how we use that word pray in that modern vernacular. |
| 0:29.0 | But he means pray. I mean, you look verse 46, why sleep you rise and pray? |
| 0:34.0 | Less the inner temptation. Now, granted, we don't have the divisions the same way Matthew does of the group of eight and so forth. |
| 0:41.0 | But you do have the disciples asking to pray. |
| 0:44.0 | The closest thing that I can find to an analogy that's like that is again, 3519, which is kind of fun. |
| 0:52.0 | Some of the thought stuff that we've been dealing with, we've been going to events in 3519 to some degree, but it's a before and after. |

| 1:08.0 | And then when Christ comes, he actually has the disciples pray again. |
| 1:13.0 | So while he goes off to pray, he has the disciples pray. |
| 1:19.0 | I've read this a couple of ways, but it almost seems as if Christ has each of the disciples in 3519, |
| 1:25.0 | divvy up the audience so that they're, you got groups of 12. |
| 1:30.0 | And if they got groups of 12, are they leading them in prayer? |
| 1:34.0 | So do we have 12 different groups of praying going on? Plus Christ. |
| 1:39.0 | I don't have a great explanation as to the power of this type of communal prayer, but it's something. |
| 1:48.0 | I wish I could give more, but it's tantalizing this idea of a communal group of prayers. |
| 1:54.0 | Different people all praying at the same time in these different settings and these different groups. |
| 2:02.0 | And yet that's what he seems to be asking happen in the Garden of Gisemite 2. |
| 2:07.0 | We know that he's going to pray. We know that he's going to engage with God the Father, but he wants his disciples to be engaging in this prayer too. |
