You're going through your, you know, your existential crisis. Who woke you up from it?

Man, I don't even think I woke up until after I did A Star is Born. I was playing with Neil Young.

Bradley saw me playing. It was like desert trip. Bradley Cooper was there and then basically hired me on

from there. And after Star is born, I had a sort of a crossroads where I was like, okay, what is fame, you know,

like what do I really want? And I really felt like I wanted to, I just wanted to keep working and do it for

the art of what I do, do it for the love of what I do. And I didn't care about any of that other,

you know, celebrity type of fame. I found my manager

that I still have, Jeff Kramer, and he was the one who really helped me to realize the truth

of my artistry. He's the first manager I've ever met that said, you don't have to do that. You

don't have to do that. This is not a good look for you. He's somebody who says, wait, you don't have to play with your teeth. Do you have songs like Find Yourself and just outside of Austin and forget about Georgia? This is what you leave behind, you know? This is what you want people to come away from your shows. And that is great. That's what we're doing it for. That's what we're doing it for.
