Summary

Lukas Gage is everywhere. He’s in everything! White Lotus, Euphoria, Smile 2, Love, Victor, Fargo, the film of the year, Companion… and now he has a memoir out, I Wrote This for Attention, which, as you might imagine is a page turner. The San Diego-born actor only turned 30 this year, but he’s definitely lived a life so far.

In the book (and on the couch) he covers his tumultuous upbringing, rebellion, drugs, rehab wilderness camp, and sadly abuse, plus his first decade in Hollywood, hustling hard and dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder, with the same candor and humor he comes to the studio with. If you’re looking for Chris Appleton, Kim Kardashian-officiated marriage tea, it’s mentioned briefly in the book, and we chat about it a bit here, but it’s really the least interesting part of his life and career.

He also discusses getting his a$$ eaten on White Lotus, STDs, trust and abandonment issues, how he deals with BPD, getting accused of queerbaiting, mukbangs, Sam Levinson, eccentric older ladies, Noah Centineo, that viral video, and so much more.
