the new Luke Besson film starring Scarlett Johansson.

You are a neuroscience grad student at Princeton.

That's right.

So impressive.

And you are also a former Slate Culture Fest intern. I am back in the studio. I'm just realizing I'm joined by two former Slate

Culture Fest interns. Also with me is Forrest Wickman, a writer for Slate. And yes, our very first

Colt Fest intern back in the day. Local boys make good. There we go. So we are here to talk about Lucy

and we brought Forrest in the last minute because unlike Sam and I, he actually liked it. So let's

go around the table really quick and give like the thumb drive, the sparkly thumb drive reaction

and then get into the spoiling. Forrest, you wanted to come in to defend Lucy. Yeah, I'm one strong sparkly thumb drive up.

I suspect we probably all felt somewhat similarly about the movie.

Of course, it is totally preposterous.

I found it really wonderfully preposterous.

I think it's just kind of this like bad shit acid trip of a movie that I found

completely enjoyable, just kind of like full of visual ideas. There's been a few movies in this

genre of like, you know, person using all of their brain and transcending humanity, including

limitless. Limitless.
