All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown. My name is Jeff Fleck and I'm on to my co-worker Jordan

Bianchi. We are writers for the athletic and today we are here to talk about the Las Vegas race,

the third points race of the NASCAR Cup series season. And tell you what, Jordan, NASCAR just

keeps on delivering right now. Another really good race week after week.

It just seems like it's just, it's been fantastic to start the year.

I can't believe it.

We talked about it coming out of Daytona and you start kind of getting into the nuts and

both of the schedule and maybe some racetracks where you kind of wonder,

if the racing going to be any good, how does new car going to work that kind of thing i'll tell you what

fontana was great i thought it was one of the best fontana races we've ever seen and you go to

Vegas and i don't want to say it's the best Vegas race ever seen but i'm hard pressed right now to

remember a great a better race from beginning.

It was really good.

It was entertaining.

And that was even before.

And this isn't a, oh, my goodness, the finish was exciting, which kind of tends to override everything else.

But this was a good race before that, even without that finish, where it was up in the air and who was going to win.

You had some guys, you know, strong at one point and they kind of faded.

It just had a lot of different twists and turns.

And I like seeing drivers struggle.

I know it sounds bad, but I like seeing these guys push themselves and have moments where they can't control this car and things happen.
