Is the pressure about as high as you've ever seen year one of a first year coach?

For year one, I think that's fair.

They're giving him everything he wants.

And with that, though, comes the expectation of making the playoffs in year one.

but we was running from. So we, you came over there and you straight tell them people on Ellis Island, your name's Mascone. You were lying to somebody about something. For sure. It's like when I get those scam calls and the guy tells me his name's Jason and you can tell by his dialect. His name is not nor never will be jason is ted yeah no it Bryant. Yeah, it's Luke. But look, I want to start, Matt, kind of 30,000 foot view here. We want to get in obviously what's going. I know there's a lot of young defensive tackles that are getting some run right now. People are excited about with LSU. But I want to start just with the fan base. When you bring in and pay a coach as much as you're paying Lane Kiffin, as much as you're paying to keep Blake Baker as DC. But the amount of money that has been spent on this roster, SEC football fans don't have patience anyway. I don't think a lot of LSU fans are sitting here being like, all right, well, give us a couple of years, then we'll figure it out.

I mean, is the pressure about as high as you've ever seen year one of a first year coach just because of the circumstances of it all?

Oh, for year one, I think that's fair.

I mean, if you just rewind the clock 12 months, I mean, remember LSU had the number one portal class in the country last year as well, when they went all in for Brian Kelly this year behind Garrett Nussmeyer and they went seven and six.

So a year ago, you had tremendous expectations.

But for a first year, coach, yeah, because typically if a coach is taking over, he's taken over because the previous coach got fired and you know they're inherited a bit of a mess and you know the the portal it's

been said before but i mean look the the portal and nil changes everything there's no greater

example than indiana no team had lost more in the history of college football than indiana

in first year they're in the playoffs second year they, they win a national championship. So everyone here looks and says, okay, well, Lane, you're getting all this money. And by the way, guys, nobody's telling Lane Kiffin'node for anything. I mean, it's kind of insane. There are more than 70 people on this football staff, like on field support staff all in. I mean,

it's almost like a one-to-one ratio with players. So nobody is telling him, no, they're giving
