At this point in our series, we've covered half of the letter to the Ephesians.

We've covered the first three chapters, which, as you've seen, have been largely doctrinal,

as we've covered the doctrines related to who we are in Christ,

how grace alone is responsible for our salvation.

We've covered how God has given each of us a purpose to fulfill on earth.

And most recently we've explained what Paul meant when he talked about the mystery,

the mystery being that even the early church, until God began to unfold it, didn't understand that not only Jews but Gentiles were going

to be part of God's family and have access to God's promises. So we've covered a lot of doctrinal

stuff. And even in the doctrinal stuff, there's been some practical application.

But now Paul shifts. It's very cool how he wrote the letter to the Ephesians, because almost half of it is mostly doctrine with a little application because you've got to understand what you believe.
