talking about the not okay to say gay law that's been

passed in Florida, which for many is just a sign that we are definitely rolling backwards.

Quite horrific.

God, Florida and Texas.

What are you all doing?

And I was thinking about how to talk about that on the show.

And it was kind of painful. My first thought, because how do I, not even how do I, but I can't believe that I need to find a way to validate, legitimize a human being, you know.

And I think about the educational system and what its goal is and it should be education. And education means the acknowledgement of life, reality, history, what is. It's not ever

about promoting anything or supporting anything. It's just, again, about exploring and learning

about how the world exists and who exists within the world. And it hurts my heart that there's this idea that

to acknowledge the diversity that exists within gender and sexual orientation, that that is

somehow bad or toxic or inappropriate or, you know, sexualization, especially when we have no

problem normalizing heterosexuality, which is, again,

the sexualization and talking about prom and who people's prom dates are and all those different

things. And, you know, my God, you know, people talking about straight hetero history and again,

high school really supporting a grade school heterosocial developmental milestones like, you know,

king and queen and prom dates, like I said,

and all of those different things. That has never led any of the queer or gay or trans individuals
