Good evening, everybody. Welcome to the show. Hope your week's going well. Um, how's everyone doing?

Do you all taking care of yourselves? I got to start remembering to, uh, spend some time, uh,

on the shows just kind of reflecting back or not reflecting back, because as much as just reminding

everyone, make sure you're taking care of yourselves. I was doing a lot more of this during the pandemic, but, you know, remember we're asking

those around us, how's your mental health? I have to get back to reminding people to do that.

A lot of us say things like, how are you? And, you know, that's a pleasantry. And so people

nod and say, well, doing well, whether they are or not. And,

you know, again, when most people ask that question, they aren't truly interested in any deep,

intimate processing. So it's appropriate to just not along regardless of what's going on. But for those

that we have closer relationships with, ask the question differently so that they feel the impact

of the difference and really realize,

wait, this person means what they're saying.

And that's why I'll say to friends that I care about and I'm close with, how's your mental health?

And that's such a targeted question.

And again, it lets people know I care.

It lets people know I'm someone you can turn to.

I'm a safe space to process this.

But even more than that,

it reminds them to think about their mental health. Again, physical health is so prioritized.

It's so overt. You can see it sometimes. Yes, there are invisible disabilities and limitations,

but a lot of times they're very overt.

And so it's very recognized.
