Loveline IG page. Going to open the show, uh, talking about rape culture and consent culture

and assault because this is sexual assault awareness month. so I definitely want to hit upon it,

because it's something that touches all of us, but bigger than that, all of us are part of

either maintaining the systems that lead to the high number of sexual assaults, or we are all

actively working on dismantling and eliminating them. It really is that simple. We are part of the solution or

we're part of the problem. And it's something that impacts all of us. We all want to create a world

where everyone feels safe. And I think the stats are like 93 to 90 percent of sexual assaults

are at the hands of a male done to a female. So that is the position that I will be taking in tonight's show.

It is not to say that men are not sexually assaulted by females or other men. They are.

That is 7% or less. Maybe it's a higher number because of people not feeling confident reporting.

I don't know. But we're going to go with the 93 to 97. So we're going to look at it as a male

issue. Why? Because if men are the ones that are doing the sexual assaulting, then it is a male

issue. It is not a female issue. The victim is not responsible for creating the shifts and changes

in an oppressive and violent system. So we're going to be talking about that tonight. And there's

something for everyone to learn in this. So don't think that if this is outside the scope of what's

going on in your life that you can't get something beneficial from tonight's show because we're

going to be talking about things that everyone needs to know, you know, consent, enthusiasm,

boundaries, gender roles, all sorts of stuff. So it's going to be a little bit of a heavy

topic. Uh, you know, I'll try to bring some levity to it. It's a, you know, it's okay for us to find
