as always focusing on tons of self-care, lots of joy and pleasure and as much rest as possible.

That is mental health. And also just trying to live as authentically and as liberated as possible.

My gosh, watching all the different things going on in the news, I was posting on my social media,

a couple different things. So we have a battle going on. All the politicians. It's

so fascinating watching people target AOC. Also, of course, watching what's going on with

trans rights, watching some politicians continue to try to deny trans individuals,

access to health care and rights, a lot of legal battles going on.

Really heartbreaking.

We'll continue to report on that, but I wanted to, the rest of the show is going to be a little

heavy.

We're going to be focusing on, it's at National Eating Disorders Month, and we're going to be

focusing on looking at our relationship to gym culture and diet culture, the toxic forms, right? So we call it toxic gym culture and

toxic diet culture. And it's going to be difficult. We're really going to have to look at

and examine our relationship to food and eating and our bodies and exercise and working out.

But it's meaningful because when we look at the stats, which we'll be reporting on when we come back, you're going to see how much it impacts individuals, but especially and

including men. It's just a little bit of a different form that it takes. You know, there's a time

decades ago where we used to focus on being a good person. And now we're so focused on how hot

am I? What does my body look like? And it's a mess because it's to the

detriment of our actual health because any definition of health has to look at the impact of whatever

we're talking about on mental health. And if it's not mentally healthy for us, well, then it's not

health. We cannot call it that. And a lot of toxic gym and diet culture ignore mental impact.
