Good evening, everybody. How you all doing? We're getting through the week. I hope you're all

0:06.9

feeling a little bit better. You know, we've got the inauguration behind us and anyone that's been

0:12.2

tracking all the movement in the Biden administration, whether those are, you know, whether you all

0:16.2

are supporters of Biden or not, a lot's happened. And, you know, we've talked about this and some of this

0:22.6

has been in the news, but just wanted to kind of go back and retroactively, just kind of map what's

0:26.2

been happening thus far, which really profound when things happen immediately, hit in the ground

0:30.3

running. I mean, Biden has done thus far in such a short period of time a lot for LGBTQIA plus

0:36.1

rights, including an executive order that ensures

0:39.3

protections against discrimination for LGBTQ plus people. That's phenomenal. And this is a quote,

0:45.2

0:49.3

no matter who they are or whom they love. I love this. This is all in the order. It says children should be able

0:56.2

1:01.3

or school sports. And also, I love this as well, because we're talking about protections based

1:06.6

on gender and sexual orientation, that adults should be able to earn a living and pursue a vocation

1:11.4

knowing that they will not be fired, demoted, or mistreated because of whom they go home to or because

1:16.5

of how they dress. Love this. And HRC, the human rights campaign, has called it, oh, these are big

1:22.3

terms, the most substantive, wide-ranging LGBTQIA order in history. Sit with that. That's phenomenal because we were

1:30.7

watching the Trump administration roll back a lot of rights for people that are trans or gay or queer.

1:35.8

And we even saw him removing the webpage from the administration, the White House's website

1:42.9

around protections and rights.

1:44.8

So that was really scared for a lot of people.

1:46.6

That doesn't mean, again, that the work is done and the work is over.
