Hey, good evening here, buddy. How are you all doing? Just getting the week started, right?

We're trying to refocus, right? Trying to make sure the week is supportive.

We're rooting in a little bit of mental health and self-care. Lots going on. It's never dull.

When I wake up in the morning, I have been making it a habit to watch the news because I was kind of living under a needed, a much needed rock there

for a while saying I'm going to take a step back. It's important for my mental health and so that I

can be available to do all the work I need to do as a therapist. I have to keep my resources intact at

times so I can help others. And making it now more part of my morning ritual to watch the news

while I'm having my coffee.

Never dull.

I mean, not that it ever was, but I just feel like we're in quite an exceptional time.

In my lifetime, I'm going to have seen more than some people have ever seen in theirs.

It's quite fascinating, quite amazing to, on one hand, it's heartbreaking,

right? And on the other hand, history being made in many interesting ways. So, so much going on,

but we got you back. Um, gosh, it's interesting as we watch the different people that were essentially

domestic terrorists. But again, uh, anti-terrorism is usually rooted in anti-blackness

and xenophobia. And so we really want to call it what it is. It was a lot of white supremacy.

It was a lot of toxic masculinity. It was a lot of toxic American individualism, people thinking

that they can just go in there and do what they want, just really pushing back

on the changes that are needing to be made. The Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol,

man, you could do quite an interesting psychological profile on all of them. They have a lot of

things in common. So not sad to see some of those people getting arrested. Although I don't

support the partial system, it's punishment, it doesn't create any change, it does nothing to dismantle,
