Hi, I'm Tony Mantor. Welcome to Why Not Me the World. Today's guest is Des, also known as Love Art Picks, an award-winning multimedia artist and X-5 award finalist. He is currently working on a documentary in production and serves as an art-focused consultant. Des is also autistic and has joined us to share

his story. We definitely appreciate his participation. Thanks for coming on. I was going. You're

good, Tony. Yeah. I've been asked to do a few podcasts before. I've turned them down because speaking

on this topic, obviously, you know, it's quite, there's a lot of different versions of how people see it and there's a lot of stigma around it too. it's quite there's a lot of different

versions of how people see it and there's a lot of stigma around it too and I feel there's a lot of weight on people's shoulders to say there's no kind of one right thing to say is

that you've got your own troops just for my own life experience you know I'm judged daily

when I mean I'm six foot free look a certain way come come across very confident. Yet, I'm questioned on, when I say I'm autistic, no, you're not.

And it's like, what?

And then I really, and that's part of the trauma that I deal with even now.

You know, it's like, I find that traumatic that people have to say that.
