Think of all the decisions the two of you face in any given month.

Think of all the ramifications of those decisions.

If you buy the washer, then you can't take the trip.

If you can't take the trip, then you'll miss out on some desperately needed family time.

Besides, the trip would get you out of that bind of having to coach again this summer.

But the washer is broken, and what are you going to do?

If you change jobs, then your new insurance won't cover the surgery your son needs.

If you quit the job that is killing you to look for another, it could be months, maybe a year

before you find another. And on and on it goes. It feels like a

setup every time you have to make a decision. Tic, tick, tick, boom.
