Turn with me to 1 Peter the second chapter, please.

First Peter, chapter 2.

Then also we'll go to Luke chapter 14.

1 Peter 2 and 5.

Let's read the Amplify.

1 Peter 2 and 5 says, come and like living stones be yourselves built into a spiritual

house for a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.

Pleasing to God.

We have been made priests unto our God.

Priests offer sacrifices, don't they?

Is this New Testament, are we to be offering sacrifices today that are pleasing to the Lord?

Not sacrifices for sin.

There's been the one and final sacrifice made for sin that is the master his blood forever has paid the price and there's nothing we can do to add to it and should not try and yet there are other sacrifices we can

offer in Hebrews the 13th chapter and the 15th verse, you don't have to turn there,

they'll put it up for us.

Hebrews 1315 says, by him, let's offer up the sacrifice of praise to God.

Continually, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. That's something we can give.

Verse 16, but to do good and communicate, forget not. These are other sacrifices. There's

Thanksgiving and praise and worship. Here's giving.

Communicate means sharing.

And he's talking about sharing material things.

For with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. We can and should offer sacrifices.
