Is he a reformed con or just a smooth talker? We'll review the podcast, Love and Radio, Blood Memory. Joining me to get that done and more as True Crime Author, TV Journalist, and host of. These are their stories podcast, my husband, and the love of my life, Kevin Flynn. Hello, Kevin. Hello, Rebecca. Also with us, private investigator, certified pet detective, resident cat lady, and author of the final curtain, Laura Bricker. Hi, Laura. Hey, Rebecca. And finally, it's our captain of all things cynical, author of the city trilogy, host of Rip Current, more like ancient phalians, strange arrivals on our Patreon deep dive book club podcast, Toby Ball. Ola, Toby. Ola, Rebecca. So, Kevin, what is coming up on this Thursday's program? This is Monday's show. Yeah, on Thursday, we're going to talk about a three-part series from Netflix. It's called Beauty and the Bester. Kevin, can we just briefly talk about the fact that we were supposed to be talking about something else on Thursday? And you yed it very quickly yeah yeah we were supposed to watch uh 56 days on prime and first of all like blood and radio or i should say love in radio it was a pretty long series and then 56 days on

1:41.7

top of it was going to be long it's going to be kind of a commitment this week and as soon as i finished watching the first episode of 56 days on top of it was going to be long. It's going to be kind of a commitment this week.

1:49.2

And as soon as I finish watching the first episode of 56 days, I'm like, they're going to hate this. It's so fucking bad.

1:50.2

So we made a quick pivot that the world will never know about because through the magic of audio, cut out all those references.

1:58.0

But yeah, we should have been watching 56 days with all its weird sex and stuff.

2:03.5

Cannot recommend after one episode. Yeah. No? What was the weird sex? It's just a lot of. Do they have any in the first episode? Is there a sex? I guess there is. What? It has this weird. It has this, it's like a sort of psychological thriller kind of situation, except you're not really interested in any of the people at all. And the woman who's in it, the main character, she looks like a doll. Like, she looks like she's got an Instagram filter on her face. It's so weird. Like that's just the way her face is. And I don't want to like, but it's extremely, no, she looks AI and it's extremely distracting. That and it's just bad. The dialogue's bad. The interesting thing is that she used to be one of those Disney kids. Yeah. Yeah. And she doesn't look like that at all. It seems like, I don't know. She's had some work done. You know, we're not pointing it out other than the fact that a lot of people have pointed it out already.

2:52.4

But, yeah.

2:53.2

So I'll just say if anybody out there, if you ended up watching 56 days and you want to opine about it, let us know, drop us a line or something. Let us know if it gets better. Let us know if, yeah, maybe we'll go back and we'll get, we'll be like, okay, fine. Let's dive in. It was so low rent, too. It was

3:08.4

really wild. All right, Kevin, should we took place in Boston. So you're like, okay, it didn't look like Boston at all. Part of it looked like Boston. Did it? I don't know. I don't know. There was green screen. Who knows? I felt like I was watching that Colleen Hoover movie, uh, the one that Blake lively was in,

3:23.9

that guy had the lawsuits about it.

3:25.5

Like,

3:25.6

it just real...

3:26.2

It ends with us.

3:27.1

Yeah, so cheesy.

3:28.2

So, that Colleen Hoover movie, uh, the one that Blake lively was in, that guy had the lawsuits about it. Like it just real, it ends with us. Yeah, so cheesy. Yes, I watched that. Yeah. All right. Kevin, should we talk about the thing we're supposed to be talking about? Oh, yeah, we should. Let's do it. Let's do it. Leading off. So I held him there and took the knife away from him.

3:43.0

I took him down.
